This week saw a gathering of 72 automotive business owners and workers come to Wollongbar TAFE to receive a free tutorial from Australia’s most sought after automotive diagnostic trainers, Jeff Smit.
Jeff is the technical editor at ‘The Automotive Technician’ one of Australia’s most prolific automotive business training website magazines, and has educated hundreds of people on a annual basis and managed to draw the biggest audience for his technical presentation at this year’s Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo in Melbourne.
Jeff presented a practical and topical training session which explored the process of diagnosing problems faced by most automotive workshops on a regular basis, he also gave handy advice and tips to help each business be more productive become more financially aware.
“With the rapid change in technology in motor vehicles, it is important to remain competitive in the aftermarket and to keep your capabilities of repairing late model vehicles up to date to provide a first class service to your customers.” Said Jeff.
Head Teacher of the Automotive Section at Wollongbar TAFE, Graham Armstrong said, “This was a great opportunity not only give local businesses a chance to be exposed to top-level diagnostic training, but also to come together and discuss important changes and developments as an industry group.”
