Speakers Vicki Batten, CEO FSG Australia and passionate human rights activist and nutritional biochemist and author, Dr Libby Murray delighted the audience over lunch.
International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women in the past, present and future. It is a day when women are recognised for their achievements, regardless of divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
The lunch was organised by Ballina Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Nadia-Elliott-Burgess with welcome to country by Aunty Julia Paden, Bundjalung Elder.
Events are being held throughout the Shire over this week, the official International Women’s Day being the 8th March.
