A move by QantasLink to streamline connections between regional, domestic and international flights could boost travel to the north coast.
From tomorrow, Thursday August 15th 2013 QantasLink flights will go from Sydney Domestic Terminal 3, instead of Terminal 2.
It will make connections to regional, domestic and international services easier.
Lisa McPherson from the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce said it could boost business travel through the Port, Coffs and Ballina airports.
“QantasLink is a big supporter of trying to provide better opportunities for regional Australia,” she said.
“Getting around these days is really important when we are looking at more global relationships and partnerships.”
Ms McPherson said the changes of terminal could boost business travel at Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Ballina.
“I think any measures which can improve transport opportunities for business and residents alike from regional Australia is a positive,” she said.
“It’s a global world these days and certainly being able to free up and make more efficient transport available is going to be a positive.”
