New Business Banking Appointment

Lismore based Duncan Purkiss has just been appointed as Suncorp’s new Business Banking Manager for North Eastern New South Wales. Troy Constance, Exec. Manager for Business Banking said the appointment to the brand-new role was a huge benefit for businesses in the region.
Something many businesses find frustrating about financial institutions is that they are difficult to access, which is one of the reasons they have created this role to address this issue and provide a personal interface for local businesses.
Suncorp is currently Australia’s 5th biggest bank and its activities date back to 1902. From a Queensland base, they have extended operations throughout Australia, most recently in WA. As a true regional bank, they service nearly one million customers. They provide customers with access to branches, agencies and Business Banking Centres across Australia.
Bringing an impressive 35 years of banking experience, 17 of those locally in the Northern Rivers, Duncan has also owned and operated his own successful retail business for 5 years. It’s that understanding of operating a business yourself that gives invaluable understanding of what customers really need.
Duncan said he was delighted about joining the Suncorp team and was looking forward to getting to know his new clients and colleagues and exploring the opportunities offered by Australia’s largest regional bank.
“Our customers will receive genuinely personal service delivered by real people and I definitely encourage local businesses to come in and have a chat to us about their banking needs,” he said.
As well as business Suncorp is also recognised for supporting some amazing programs and initiatives. From sponsoring events to providing much-needed assistance to charities and research organisations, they’re dedicated to getting out into the community and making a real difference to people’s lives.
Suncorp Bank has ten branches and a further seven business banking centres in Regional New South Wales and the ACT, offering a range of financial services solutions such as personal banking, wealth management advice, insurance solutions, small business and agribusiness banking and an expanding ATM network.
